A 虚空鸡 is an 动物 obtained by placing a 虚空蛋 in an 孵化器. The first 虚空蛋 is obtained through a 随机事件 that occurs after the player goes to sleep. A witch will fly over a 鸡舍 and leave a 虚空蛋 inside.
A 虚空蛋 can also be purchased from the 旅行货车 in 苹果酒森林, or from 科罗布斯 in 下水道. A 虚空蛋 requires 4 days to incubate, including the day it is placed in the 孵化器. A 虚空鸡 matures 6 days after hatching, or 3 days after hatching with the 牧羊人专业.
Produce
The 虚空鸡 can produce a 虚空蛋 every morning (if it was fed the prior day), which sells for 
65金. The 虚空蛋 can be used in cooking recipes calling for an egg. 虚空蛋 can also be placed in the 蛋黄酱机 to produce 虚空蛋黄酱, which sells for 275金.

Selling
虚空鸡 may be sold the same way as normal chickens. The more hearts the animal has, the higher its sell price. A new-born chick sells for 252金, and a maximum-heart 虚空鸡 for 1,040金, the same as for normal chickens.
