Online translators

- OK, let's make improvements! I am confused about one thing -- if you use an online translator to understand the English pages, how do you produce Chinese sentences that don't make sense? I don't mean to be insulting, but I am curious how that works. When I check edits on the ZH wiki, I have to use an online translator, and what it says makes very little sense sometimes. I can't imagine copy/pasting an English "word salad" onto an English page. So, again, I do not mean any insult to you!! But I am curious about your translation process.

Hello Margotbean! Thank you for all the effort you put into this event. When I play the game with my friends, I often use unofficial names for in-game content, such as referring to parsnips as turnips because they look too similar. Over time, I brought the wrong name to the wiki article. So, when I use an online translation tool, I can't tell if the article is a canonical phrase or not. That's why I've asked you for a correct sample. Your answer is really helpful, thanks again. But I feel like my in-game misnomerization of items is ingrained in my head. I've also found that 移動版歷史 has been too long since I've had a major update, and the content on the page is easy to spot errors. So I tried editing, but some of the content caused problems for everyone. I think that's all I can say. Thank you a lot for all your hard work. Siki（討論） 2024年7月21日 (日) 15:21 (UTC)
- Oh, dear, I don't think my "correct sample" was very helpful, but I didn't understand what you wanted very well. I thought you were asking about the layout of the page, indentation, boldfacing, and that sort of formatting. I appreciate your reply, and I understand about "turnips" and such. 🤭 We all want the wiki to be the best wiki it can be! But I think that using online translation tools and informal names of items from your head is not the best way to do that. I'm sorry I don't speak Chinese at all, it would be better if I did.
