The Mapping Cave Systems is a book that can be found in a box in the back of the Adventurer's Guild. This part of the building is only accessible once you've slain 1000 monsters.
Reading the book grants the player a 50% discount on Marlon's item retrieval service.
Once obtained, this discount can be found as a power in the the Player's Menu on the Special Items & Powers tab.
