你可以與鵜鶘鎮里的村民們成為朋友。隨着你們的友情漸深，村民們的對白會顯得更為友好，被稱為心級場景的動畫也會出現，村民還會在信件里贈送你禮物。
友誼機制
積分制
與每位村民的友誼值都有個分數，計量圖上共有十顆心（普通村民）或者十二顆心（你的配偶）。
每顆心代表250分友誼值，你可在遊戲菜單的社交欄里查看人際關係。 想要提升友誼，可以採取如下措施：
- 與村民交談（如果村民處在某個特殊行為的動畫過程中，如鍛煉或拍照，+10，否則的話+20；每天只可獲得一次加分）。
- 完成某個村民需要的交付任務（+150）。
- 贈送他們喜愛的禮物（查看禮物）。
- 在村民的心級場景里選擇特定的選項。
出現如下行為，友誼會下降：
當與某位村民的友誼計量圖被填滿，即使你從此再不與之交談，友誼值也不會降低。（倘若NPC是可示愛的對象，但你並未贈與花束，則與ta的友誼計量以八心為滿級。）但仍然會因為其他行為而降低（如贈送他們討厭的禮物）。 當與某位村民的友誼計量圖超過了兩顆心，你將可以進入ta的房間。
禮物
每周最多可以贈送每位村民兩次禮物（每天最多一次），在社交欄里有個方框指代送禮次數。生日當天一定可以贈送禮物，即便本周已經給此人送過兩次禮物也可以。結婚之後，你可以每天給配偶送禮物。 每位村民有各自喜歡和討厭的東西，意味着你送出禮物之後，你們之間的友誼會有所改變。友誼值的變化在對方生日當天（八倍）或神秘聖誕活動（五倍）會成倍改變：

心級場景
與村民的友誼值上升將解鎖獨特的場景（可查看每位村民的頁面），有一些場景會被永遠地錯過，但大多數場景可在閒暇時查看，不需要按照特定順序。
示愛
相關文章: 婚姻 一些村民可被玩家示愛（查看可結婚的對象）。當你與其中一位村民達到了八顆心的友誼，向其贈送花束可解鎖另外兩顆心。（在結婚之前，你可以向多名村民贈送花束並不會對遊戲有任何的影響。在婚後這麼做有可能會使你與配偶的友誼值降低。）當你與一位可結婚的村民友誼值達到十心，可贈送人魚項鍊以表求婚。 結婚之後，對方的友誼計量圖增加到十二顆心。當友誼值達到隱藏的十三心的時候會使玩家獲得星隕果。
